Beginner Hand Building & Clay Basics

Service Description

What you'll learn: This 4-session class explores the basic properties of clay, hand building techniques (slab rolling, coil building and pinch pots) and an introduction to glazing. This workshop is perfect for beginners or experienced ceramists! What's included: * All clay and tools * Glazes * Firing fees Your finished piece will be ready for pickup in approximately 2-3 weeks after final class. About your instructor, Jam: Jam is an interdisciplinary artist currently obsessed with paper and clay, but you may also find her with a camera in hand every now and again. After graduating from the Alberta University of the Arts with a BFA in drawing and minoring in ceramics, she now practices in amiskwaciwâskahikan ᐊᒥᐢᑲᐧᒋᐋᐧᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ/ Edmonton.
