MADE TO GATHER - a pottery workshop series designed for slow moments, good company, and pieces made to be shared To-Go Mug Workshop Get ready for those long walks along the river with a yummy drink in your new favorite mug! This hands-on session will guide you through the fundamentals of handbuilt pottery as you shape and form a custom mug to hold your favorite drink. You’ll learn essential handbuilding techniques like slab building, pinching, and coiling. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a fun, functional to-go mug for your next outing. No prior pottery experience is necessary—just bring your ideas and enjoy the process! What's included: * All clay and tools * Glazes * Firing fees * Optional clay slip for detaling and decorating After the workshop, your pieces will need to dry slowly for a few days. It will then be fired in a bisque fire (Cone 04, 1945°F) and dipped in a clear, food-safe glaze. Finally, it will be fired again at cone 5 (2145°F). Your finished piece will be ready for pickup in approximately 2-3 weeks. About your instructor, Cindy: Cindy is a passionate craft enthusiast who began her pottery journey two years ago and quickly fell in love with the art of handbuilding. She enjoys creating pieces that feel organic and full of personality, embracing the beauty of imperfection and creativity. Her love for hands-on art led her to collaborate with the creatives at Planted Earth Studios to offer cozy, welcoming workshops. Cindy manages event bookings and hosts pottery parties and workshops where participants can relax and explore their creativity. Beyond pottery, she is also an artist who works with paper, crafting delicate, botanical-inspired pieces that reflect her love of nature and design.
